BIOGRAPHY
Joy Fahey

Born in Manchester, UK. Joy trained in all areas of the arts from an early age specialising in dance, drama and art.
After graduating from college she worked professionally in film and theatre for five years. Joy then taught dance for 10 years.


She decided to pursue her interest in art and studied as a mature student to the Manchester School of Art.
She also worked underthe supervision of Eugene Halliday exploring the psychology of art and art therapy.
In 1988 moved to Hong Kong for two years where she continued her painting.

Joy travelled to many countries and spent long periods of time in the USA, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand . This had a great impact and influence on the development of her work.

2000 Moved to Spain . Setting up an Art Studio and School in Marbella (Málaga), teaching and painting.
The BBC TV 'Living in the Sun' programme filmed one of Joy's workshops in 2005.

Joy now presents teaching workshops in all forms of art and works with specialist clinics and individuals in art therapy

1963 - 1970 The Arts Education Trust, Hertford and London . School of Dance , Drama and Art.
1975 - 1984 Student of the artist Golda Rose for painting and ceramics and continuous study with Eugene Halliday in psychology of art and art therapy.
